This Arts and Crafts style features a pyramid shade with a stepped border for added visual interest. The classic geometric design includes art glass in shades of amber, Cream and tan, Accented with glass pieces in sapphire blue and rich green. The linear geometric details on the bronzed base makes it a perfect complement to the shade.
So the story goes...Sometime around 1910 a northern California craftswoman created a lamp for a Colonel stationed at Fort Bragg. She called the design Inglenook and made quite a few thereafter as it turned out to be quite popular. Like all things, time passed and the design fell out of favor and was lost in the mist of the Great Depression then World War II and all that followed afterward. Quoizel found and revived the design for their 2006 Mission Line. They stayed as authentic as they could constructing the shade out of 248 pieces of copper foiled and hand leaded art glass and mating it to a cast base decorated in Mission Chevrons and finished in a rich Valiant Bronze. 25" tall, 16" square shade, 2 x 75-watts on very nice pullchains, but save energy and money with 2 x 26-watt CFL’s for 200-watts of brightness. For end tables and larger desk and nightstand situation. Very authentic Mission at a good price.
