Luxurious ceiling light from Quoizel I call romantic because of the stylized hearts that dominate the upper half of the shade. The entire design is Spanish Moor C1400AD when the Moors ruled southern Spain and built fantastic palaces in Grenada and Toledo decorated in magnificent geometric designs of tile, mosaic and metalwork so intricate that they have not been duplicated since. Quoizel's reproduction consists of 342 pieces of Art glass all copper foiled and hand set with colors of: Crimson, Saffron, Sapphire and Emerald complimented with amber jewels and metal filigree in the shade of an abstract heart. I would image this design was first conceived by a powerful Emir for the lady love of his life. Low profile 9” overall high, 14” diameter, 2 x 60-watts.
